Ms. Suter has 30 years experience in all aspects of commercial law, holding the position of officer, director and shareholder in two previous Kansas City firms before founding Commercial Law Group, P.A. in 1998.

Counsel to Business
A business owner herself, Michelle serves as outside general counsel to large and small companies on matters involving formation, restructuring, ownership and shareholder rights and best practices, contracts, leasing, merger, acquisition, finance, subsidiary creation, start ups, employment, planning, risk management, personnel, real estate and other matters. Through CLG's custom services, Michelle can tailor legal services to meet clients' ever changing needs in today's mobile environment.

Counsel to Financial Institutions
She has represented financial institutions and private lenders in loan documentation, workout, UCC article 3, 4, 8 and 9 issues including litigation in state and federal, including bankruptcy, court on matters involving loan enforcement, lender liability, ECOA, judicial and non-judicial foreclosures and receiverships. Her experience includes documenting, modifying and enforcing all types of collateralized loan transactions (real estate, asset-based, securities, trust transactions, uncertificated securities, etc.) for traditional lenders, private lenders, SBA micro loan lenders and CMBS Special Servicers for commercial real estate projects.

Real Estate Counsel
Throughout her career, Michelle has represented developers, contractors, owners, sellers, purchasers, investors, commercial landlords and commercial tenants in real estate transactions and disputes. She has represented every side possible in a real estate dispute including cases involving fraud issues, contract rescission, loan servicing, correspondent banking, partition, foreclosure, reformation, lease, bankruptcy, mechanic's lien and others.

Governmental Counsel
For 5 years Ms. Suter served as a city attorney where she worked on annexation, zoning, benefit districts, comprehensive planning and general development matters as well as utility contracts, litigation, OSHA compliance and codified the city's ordinances.
